From loss to purpose, from purpose to a charity

When George Talbot lost his wife to cancer, he faced the question thousands of families face every year: how do you carry on when everything you knew has changed?

Grief, when channelled into purpose, becomes a powerful force for good. George found part of his answer on a motorbike. Mile by mile, ride by ride, movement became a way of processing grief that words couldn't reach. What began as a way to survive loss became something bigger: a promise that no other family facing cancer should have to navigate it alone.

That promise became GG on Two Wheels — first as a fundraising ride for his local hospice, then as a registered Scottish charity (SC054979) in its own right.

Today, GG on Two Wheels exists independently, with its own mission: supporting families across central Scotland through the practical, financial and emotional impact of cancer. George still rides solo, long-distance, mission after mission - but every mile now serves a charity built to outlast any single journey.
