Who We Are

GG On Two Wheels is a newly registered Scottish Charity, proudly regulated by OSCR.

Scottish Charity Number: SC054979

Our charity was created from a place of deep personal loss. Every trustee, volunteer, and staff member has been impacted by cancer in some way, and we understand the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that come with a diagnosis. GG On Two Wheels was founded with one clear purpose: to support adults and families whose lives have been disrupted by cancer, offering practical help when it is needed most.

We believe that no one should face cancer alone and certainly not while struggling to meet basic needs.

Why We Exist

Cancer affects far more than the body. It can shake a family’s stability, wellbeing, and sense of security. The person undergoing treatment faces physical trauma, but the emotional and financial strain often extends to partners, children, and loved ones.

Many families find themselves:

• Struggling to cope with sudden loss of income

• Facing unexpected household emergencies

• Battling anxiety, stress, and emotional exhaustion

• Trying to balance treatment, recovery, and everyday life

These pressures can be overwhelming. Our charity exists to ease that burden.

What We Do

Emergency Financial Aid

When a family is already coping with cancer, a broken boiler, an empty fridge, or a sudden bill can push them into crisis. We step in to provide immediate, practical financial support.

For example, if a family of four loses heating because their boiler breaks and the parent undergoing treatment is off work with no income we will arrange repairs or replacement. No one should have to choose between heating and food.

Our goal is simple: to make sure families can stay warm, fed, and safe while they focus on recovery.

Complementary Therapies & Mental Health Support

Cancer doesn’t just affect the body, it can deeply impact mental health. Anxiety, fear, and emotional strain are common for both patients and their families.

We help by funding:

• Complementary therapies

• Counselling and mental health support

• Treatments that reduce stress and promote emotional wellbeing

These services offer comfort, resilience, and moments of peace during an incredibly difficult time.

Supporting Local Organisations

We believe in the power of community. That’s why we partner with small local organisations who support cancer patients and their families. Through these partnerships, we accept referrals for individuals who would benefit from our help.

Working together allows us to reach more people, respond quickly, and provide support that is personal, compassionate, and effective.
