Day Eighteen

Albany to Busselton

Good Morning Day 18 | Albany to  Busselton

What a day. One of those rides that reminds you exactly why you’re out here.

The morning started perfectly clear at 22°C, rolling out of Albany at 6:00 AM with cool air and empty roads. By afternoon it was pushing 34°C, but soft winds and blue skies kept it comfortable all day.

Once I hit the forests, the ride turned into a biker’s dream endless flowing, windy roads twisting through tall trees, one corner leading perfectly into the next. Miles and miles of pure riding enjoyment.

I passed Rudyard Beach Nature Reserve and Owingup Nature Reserve before stopping at Peaceful Bay. The views there were absolutely epic—one of those spots you just have to stop, take the helmet off, and soak it in.

From there it was through the incredible Valley of the Giants, over Mount Burnside, and past Greater Dorgagup National Park, before carving through the forests of Whicher National Park.

Finished the day in Busselton, with the sun still high and the heat lingering.
